Washington State Department of Health Tobacco Quit Line
The Washington State Department of Health operates a toll-free telephone Quit Line to help tobacco users break their addiction. Studies show proactive telephone counseling can significantly increase the success rate for quitting.
Toll free numbers:
1-800-QUIT NOW (1-800-784-8669) English
1-877-2NO-FUME (1-877-266-3863) Spanish
1-877-777-6534 Hearing Impaired (TTY)
The State Department of Health also offers a website for tobacco users who want more information about the Quit Line before they call. The site features a sample call, facts about how quitting improves your health, information about the specialists who provide help, and personal stories from former tobacco users who used the Quit Line.
Due to statewide budget cuts, Quitline services have been limited. Please click here before calling the toll free numbers to ensure that you are eligible for their services.
